“Trading With Intermarket Analysis”, John J. Murphy’s best book yet.
Investors will find this book of great value. Experienced investors know that technical analysis coupled with fundamental analysis is vital to investment success. In our opinion, intensive fundamental analysis requires technical analysis for the critical timing in the buying and selling of stocks and commodities. Renowned technical analyst and celebrated author John Murphy outdoes himself in his latest book. It is exceptionally comprehensive, yet John puts it in very understandable terms for those not experienced in technical analysis. Money managers and full time professional investors will find the book informative as well.
“Trading with Technical Analysis” is a very easy “read,” loaded with facts, charts, historical relationships and indicators that aid investors in determining where a market is and where it is probably going. John demonstrates and gives superb examples of signals and relationships. Used with proper discipline, technical analysis is often correct over 80% of the time. Using the methodology of technical analysis can show where markets, commodities or stocks are trending at any time. What most technical analysis books fail to do is show the inter-relationships between the various markets such as the stock market to gold or oil to the stock market. John focuses on and shows the historical relationships and concurrent movements that usually occur.
Timing is so important today as over 70% of daily volume can be high frequency trading and hedge fund trading. And in some stock sectors, pro traders are often over 90% of daily volume in individual stocks. In our view, every extra edge is required today. With the ugly rumor that algorithmic traders and high frequency traders have a large advantage over the average investor, the information in this book may help level the field.
For those investing in gold, mining stocks and other commodities I would go so far as to say that “Trading with Technical Analysis” is essential. It is a book that will make the readers think. That, in itself is key. Keep in mind what industrialist Henry Ford said a century ago; he said that “thinking is a very difficult occupation and that is why so few people engage in it.”
I cannot be certain but the book is available in most bookstores. “Trading with Intermarket Analysis” by John J. Murphy is published by John C. Wiley & Co. Hoboken, New Jersey. This is in no way an advertisement, we just think that the book is so informative and will help Gold mining and resource investors achieve success.
